Understanding light, reflections and the transparent quality of water is key to painting a realistic wave. In this full day workshop, the secrets of painting water will be revealed as you go from a reference photograph to oil and complete a finished wave of your own. We’ll discuss movement, colour and depth of subject to capture the essence of our wave. Lots of group and individual instruction provided throughout. For painters with oil experience. No need to bring solvents as this painting will be done alla-prima with thick and juicy layers of oil paint.
