This hands-on workshop is all about discovering the power of pen and ink as a companion to your favourite painting mediums – whether it’s watercolour, acrylic, gouache or ink itself. We’ll explore how to use lines, shapes and contrast to enhance your artwork, and help you find a mark-making style that feels natural and expressive. You’ll experiment with both water-soluble and permanent inks, learning when to add those final doodled flourishes – and when to let your painting speak for itself. Through guided exercises and creative exploration, you’ll build confidence in using linework to unify your compositions, reinforce structure and add personality to your pieces.
