Expand your painting techniques and uncover a wide array of choices for your future painting projects. During these online classes, Roberta will guide you through techniques like super-saturation vs. desaturation; working with subjective colour vs. objective colour; as well as learning how to create the illusion of luminosity and depth with colour temperature and value shifts. In addition, for each painting project, there will be a brief lesson and discussion around contemporary and historical art references. Why did the artist use this technique? What effects did the artist’s techniques have on the viewer? The final project will be a chance for you to paint whatever image you choose using any of the techniques learned from the prior projects. Ideal for intermediate or advanced painters working with acrylics or oils.
