-Adult- | Available
“Capturing the moment” or “capturing sunlight with short daubs of bright paint” describes the enchanting images of Toronto artist, Helen McNicoll and Parisian artist, Berthe Morisot. Their settings are inhabited with playful children outdoors, serene women at leisure inside or hard-working women in gardens. In this class, we’ll first examine Impressionist techniques and approaches, then select and copy at least one work by these two highly regarded women artists. For a second work, you’ll be encouraged to create your own Impressionist composition. Lots of individual attention and instruction provided. Acrylics or oils. Some painting experience is recommended, but not required.
