2A42 Outside In: From Sketch to Studio Painting
-Adult- | Available
One of the most important elements of landscape or urban painting is the ability to create meaningful, informative sketches and use them to bring the immediacy of field work into the studio. In this workshop, you’ll learn outdoor sketching techniques in a variety of formats and media and then develop a studio piece based on these studies. Sunday morning #1, we’ll start with a short demonstration, then sketch outdoors near the school. Early afternoon, we’ll re-gather indoors to analyze the sketches and plan the following Sunday’s studio work to be done in any medium. In case of poor weather, an indoor plan is ready to go.
Members: $140.89 + HST, Non-Members: $145 + HST. Sunday.
