Learn the art of painting landscapes in a LARGE format. We’ll begin working on a landscape study project (provided by Lee) as we explore composition, perspective, value, colour mixing and paint application. We’ll also look at using large brush strokes, the strong exaggeration of colours, shadows and highlights and pinpointing where we want the “eye to catch” in our works. Then, it’s on to choosing a photo reference, painting on a larger canvas and further developing your own style and technique. Lee will work on a large painting in class as a guide and provide individual instruction throughout. Open to all levels – beginner to advanced.
