Immerse yourself in the world of watercolour painting. Designed for novices, the focus in this course is on skill development, emphasizing core techniques and brush-handling. We’ll look at the materials and papers needed and address basic colour and composition concepts through interesting creative exercises and projects. Demonstrations, group instruction, constructive critiques and individual attention are essential elements of this experience.

Shelley is an award winning Burlington artist and instructor and a signature member in the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour (CSPWC). Best known for her realistic approach to watercolour in a variety of subject matter, her artwork can be found in collections around the world. Her relaxed teaching style emphasizes building technique and developing the creative thought process – a combination sure to help you produce your own vibrant and skillful watercolours.
