Whether you are looking to become a professional actor or just to become more comfortable presenting in public, this course will give you the confidence and skills to make you a success in front of an audience! Taught by professional teaching artists from the NorCal School of the Arts faculty, this class is designed for students of any personality and experience level. Students will learn voice and speech techniques as well as participate in fun improvisational exercises and games. Each student will learn how to tackle a monologue, as well as develop acting fundamentals such as stage directions, script analysis, and advanced auditioning techniques. The course will culminate in a final performance for family and friends.

Kristen Deweygreen
Kristen Deweygreen is originally from New York and has a Bachelor of Science in theater. Dewey has worked and taught in theaters and schools in New York, Florida, North Carolina, and now in California. Passionately, they have been teaching private acting lessons, workshops, and youth productions for over 10 years along with directing and acting in various productions. Dewey is very enthusiastic about theater education and believes everyone benefits from learning how to use and honor their creative side.
