3A66 *NEW* Interpreting The Value of Colour – Refining Your Graphite Skills

-Adult- | Available

How do you capture a pale pink petal or a soft yellow bloom using only shades of grey? In this workshop, you'll learn to translate colour into value as you draw delicate, pale-coloured live specimens in graphite. Through demonstrations, guided practice and one-on-one support, you'll refine your techniques for continuous tone and smooth transitions—the keys to realism in botanical art—and develop your value sketches into finished graphite pieces. It's the ideal bridge between graphite and colour, giving you a strong foundation for your future botanical work in coloured media. Previous experience in accurately drawing live botanical specimens and graphite work is recommended. Participants must already own or purchase a copy of the accompanying e-booklet, The Value of Colour – Pale Hues and Soft Neutrals available as an add-on when registering for $20 + HST. Level: NS+

Members: $154.77 + HST, Non-Members: $159 + HST (Prices include $10 material fee).
