A welcoming six-week exploration of tapestry weaving for both beginners and experienced artists. You’ll learn essential techniques such as loom setup, warping and basic weaves while developing your own imagery through small woven studies. For more advanced participants, there’s the opportunity to refine your skills in colour blending, structure and personal expression within a contemporary fibre context. It’s a supportive, hands-on environment where traditional skills meet creative exploration. No previous experience required.

Ixchel Suárez
For nearly 40 years, Ixchel has explored material and concept through textile and fibre art, using innovative and non-traditional techniques. Her fusion of Abstract Expressionism with tapestry has earned international recognition, with works held in collections across Europe, Central America and North America. She holds a Master’s in Museum Studies, a BA in Graphic Design and Art History, and a postgraduate in Contemporary Textiles. All to say, she’s exceptionally skilled – and ready to share her expertise with you.
