Join mixed media artist Taruna Singh for an introduction to Gelli plate printing, focused on playful experimentation and natural textures. You’ll begin by learning gelli printing fundamentals, including layering, mark-making, and monoprint techniques using acrylic paint, a gelli plate and a brayer. In the second half of the workshop, botanicals such as leaves and flowers will be introduced to explore organic forms, texture and negative space. See what results emerge when you create a series of prints on a variety of papers, then layer and assemble them into a small mixed media composition. No prior experience is required – just a willingness to explore, experiment and create.
