Aspiring authors and illustrators will love this studio. Each week, we’ll explore a range of art making skills and story crafting techniques as we design our own comics and zines inspired by imagination stirring prompts. We'll then turn our work into ready-to-share books, experimenting with different methods of binding as we fold and stitch paper to handcraft unique titles of all shapes and sizes. With a compelling story, colourful illustrations and just some needle and thread, the possibilities here are endless. *Please note: there will be no class on May 18th*

Kento Cady
Kento is an engaging and enthusiastic hafu cartoonist and children's art educator based in Hamilton. A graduate of Sheridan College with an Honours Bachelor of Illustration, his work has appeared in numerous exhibitions and publications. Kento brings stories of togetherness to life using materials accessible to young artists, making his art both relatable and inspiring. He's probably working on a zine or comic right now.
