Discover the calming, meditative art of glass mosaic making in this hands-on class with local artist John Highley. You’ll transform tiny, chaotic shards of glass into a stunning, cohesive work of art ready for display. John will guide you through the indirect method of mosaic construction: you'll begin cutting and arranging glass pieces over a design using sticky paper; then, you'll invert and adhere your design to its base, grout it and clean it – revealing a beautiful, finished mosaic. All tools and materials are provided, and you’ll be supported step-by-step. Whether you're new to mosaics or looking to expand your artistic practice, this class offers a relaxing and rewarding creative experience.
