An art camp classic! Imaginations come alive in this inspiring studio with a focus on the fundamentals of cartooning and character design. Topics include learning to draw expressions and actions, developing humour and more. A wide variety of exciting projects throughout are sure to generate original cartoon classics ready for sharing. Cartoonists need to bring their own 8 X 10 spiral ringed sketchbook.
Week 3: Supertoons – Heroes, Sidekicks & Villains
Zap! Pow! Bam! In this super-powered week of cartooning fun, the artists will learn how to draw their own comic book heroes, sneaky sidekicks and mischievous villains. We'll cover the drawing dynamics of action poses, facial expressions and costume design while learning the basics of storytelling through comic strips and mini art projects. Each day brings new creative missions –designing a new superhero logo, inventing a silly gadget or giving a bandit the perfect evil laugh.
