3A73 *NEW* Linoblock and Clay
-Adult- | Available
Discover the art of lino block carving and bring your pottery to life with custom designs. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to carve a lino block printing plate that can be used to enhance your mugs, plates, tiles or any other ceramic creations. We’ll start by exploring lino block carving techniques – whether you're crafting a repeating pattern to roll into clay or designing a striking image to emboss at the center of a plate or platter. Once your unique lino design is complete, we’ll head to the clay studio to hand-build a mug ready to showcase your freshly carved design. The final session will allow us to apply glaze and have our work ready for firing. It’s the perfect fusion of printmaking and pottery – ideal for makers looking to add a personal touch to their ceramic work. For all levels.
Members: $145.82 + HST, Non-Members: $149 + HST (Prices include $15 firing & glazing fee and $20 material fee).
Saturday: January 10 & 17, 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. & January 31, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (3 days)
