Develop your textile art skills as you create a fibre collage. Using a variety of techniques and your fabric stash (or just the fabrics provided), we’ll explore how to “paint with fabric” and create a unique textile work. We’ll plan out your designs and experiment with different methods – hand sewing, machine sewing and fabric painting – as you transform your ideas into a textile collage. Simple transfers will allow you to include images along with embroidery and appliques in your work. You’ll also learn how to mount a fibre art piece into a shadow box frame. At the end of the four sessions, you’ll have a finished 2-D artwork ready to enjoy. *Please note: there will be no class on October 13^th *
