Learn the skills to successfully start editing your photographs and take them to the next level. This beginner workshop introduces the free digital editing software GIMP – a highly cost efficient and popular alternative to Photoshop. Together, we’ll navigate the software, stopping along the way to try out editing tools and techniques such as converting RAW files to JPEGS, fixing exposure, image cropping, object removal and more. But that's not all— we’ll also cover how to transform your photos into artful stunning Black and White creations. By the end of the day, you’ll feel more confident about using the magic of digital editing to elevate your photo work. Participants should bring their own digital photographs to edit in the workshop.
Members: $102.69 + HST, Non-Members: $105 + HST (Prices include media lab fee). Sunday.
Jennifer Finn
A fine art photographer from Dundas, ON, Jennifer is lauded for her abstract work, which she says, “inspires her imagination and challenges her mind.” She holds a B.A. from McMaster and studied Photography at Sheridan College. Continually reminded that interesting images are hiding all around, she values and teaches an inventive approach grounded in photography fundamentals. She is honoured to share her passion for photography with aspiring artists.
