Get ready to see the world from a whole new perspective. In this one-day workshop, we’ll explore the art of photographing the intricate details of everyday objects and nature, transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary. We'll review equipment essentials and the key techniques such as lighting, composition and exposure needed to get that perfect macro photograph. We’ll also look at examples of close-up work, share some tips and tricks and then get some hands-on practice capturing visually stunning images. Participants need to bring a DSLR, mirrorless or superzoom bridge camera. A macro lens or close-up filters are helpful, but not necessary. Pre-requisite: basic camera and photography knowledge.

Members: $102.69 + HST, Non-Members: $105 + HST (Prices include media lab fee). Sunday.

A fine art photographer from Dundas, ON, Jennifer is lauded for her abstract work, which she says, “inspires her imagination and challenges her mind.” She holds a B.A. from McMaster and studied Photography at Sheridan College. Continually reminded that interesting images are hiding all around, she values and teaches an inventive approach grounded in photography fundamentals. She is honoured to share her passion for photography with aspiring artists.
