Pauline Halsey
For Pauline, time spent with her students is an opportunity for research and sourcing inspiration. A graduate of McMaster with a BFA, she works intuitively as a ceramic handbuilder, creating vessels where perceived functional elements are redefined through a sculptural lens. Her classes encourage a sense of play, exploring the relationships between utility, decoration and kitsch in ceramic objects.
