Join Margaret for this three-day online workshop as she imparts the fundamental techniques essential for pursuing watercolour botanical art with serious intent. Gain proficiency in controlling water and colour, learn the art of smooth wash layering to enhance colour intensity, and discover effective colour blending methods in both the tray and on the paper. Through practical exercises, you’ll explore various wet-on-wet, wet-on-damp, dry brushwork and fine detail brushwork techniques, demonstrating their practical application in a plant study. Petal painting will serve as the foundation for practical implementation of the acquired techniques. Pre-requisites: attendance at Margaret’s previous spring workshop, Setting up for Success is strongly recommended. Participants must already own or purchase a copy of the accompanying e-booklet Picking a Palette available as an add-on when registering for $20 + HST.
