Kitty cats, birds, woodland creatures, flowers, seasonal landscapes and much more will fill our artworks as we paint and draw the themes of renowned Canadian artist, Maud Lewis. We'll explore her loose and playful techniques and create a colourful portfolio of works that celebrate her joyful originality. We’ll also learn more about her life and discuss where her inspiration may have originated as an artist who truly lived her authentic self.

Lena Montecalvo
A self-taught watercolour artist, Lena uses vibrant hues in untraditional ways and advocates for “colouring outside the lines.” Establishing a spirited studio environment that fosters experimentation and self-expression, Lena believes art is for everyone and with the right instruction and motivation, we can all access our creative abilities.
