Develop your skills to accurately render 3-D objects in paint with an emphasis on contrast, light and shadow and colour. We’ll begin with a review of the materials for working in acrylic or oil and examine the foundations of composition. Then it’s on to creating still life paintings using reference photos and outlines provided by the instructor. Techniques covered include outlining, underpainting, mixing and blending of colours, and building texture. You’ll have plenty of demonstrations along with helpful instruction and critiques. For beginner to intermediate students.
