Learn how to blend natural-looking green hues found in summer gardens and beyond. This 2-day workshop is designed for newcomers to botanical art in watercolour and offers an in-depth focus on the pigments available to botanical artists for a wide range of accurate green colour matching needs. It’s recommended as a pre-requisite to further workshops on drawing and painting leaves. Participants must already own or purchase a copy of the accompanying e-booklet “Going Green with Watercolour"available as an add-on when registering for $20 + HST.

Heather Gross
Heather’s experience in education – thirty plus years as a teacher and principal – shines through in her teaching at DVSA. She shares her knowledge of the fundamentals of traditional botanical art with those who are new to this genre and to aspiring botanical artists. Working primarily in graphite and watercolour, she continues to hone her artistic skills with ongoing study and mentorship under Margaret Best. A member of the American Society of Botanical Artists (ASBA), Heather's botanical work can be found in several private collections.
