Get ready to delve into viral TikTok pottery memes in this hands-on course. We’ll focus on trends such as the ceramic food challenge, tiny pot challenge, kinsugi repair, blindfolded building and other viral pottery techniques. We’ll also cover miniature throwing and sculpting along with painting and finishing techniques while focusing on scale, tromp l’oeil and muscle memory. Some previous pottery experience recommended. *Please note: there will be no class on February 17th*

Amanda Kopas
Amanda attended Haliburton School of the Arts for an intensive one semester program in ceramics. Upon graduation in 2013, she did a second year of the ceramics diploma program at Sheridan College before heading east to attain her BFA at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. She also took on a seasonal residency at the Nova Scotia Centre for Craft. Now back in Hamilton, she is active teaching classes, participating in shows and making ceramic creations in her home studio. More here.
