3A84 *NEW* Coloured Clay

-Adult- | Available

Spend the day exploring the possibilities of coloured clay. This workshop will cover methods for making coloured clay and various techniques for applying it as surface design. Together, we’ll create coil-built pieces such as vases or cups using white clay and then experiment with decorating the surfaces using a range of coloured clays. Basic nerikomi will also be explored. Our finished pieces will then glazed, fired and ready for a later pick-up to enjoy at home. Participants should have some previous pottery experience.

Members: $122.69 + HST, Non-Members: $125 + HST. (Prices include $10 firing & glazing fee and $30 material fee). Sunday.

Van Raay, Marina
Marina Van Raay

A DVSA student from a young age, Marina comes from a family of potters and is now a graduate of the Craft and Design Bachelor’s program at Sheridan College. In her own work, she embraces play as a design method, aiming to capture its essence with a process involving accessorizing, collaging and assembling components onto hand-built pieces post firing. She brings that same sense of creative joy to her classes along with a deep understanding of how best to help you develop your ceramic skills and artistic expression.
