3A79 Pottery for the Kitchen
-Adult- | FULL
Universally, there is no culture without a history of clay vessels involved with preparation of food. Whether it’s the thought of creating lidded casseroles, teapots, cookie jars, cups, platters, plates, colanders or bowls, the focus is squarely on what it takes to make pieces that can handle the demands of cooking, cleaning and serving. But this is no exercise in historical design – like culinary ingredients in recipes, this exploration views clay as a vital ingredient in the creative process. Be ready to push the definition of utilitarian form! *Please note: there will be no class on February 17th & March 10th*
Members: $350.24 + HST, Non-Members: $359 + HST (Prices include $55 firing & glazing fee) Clay extra. Monday.
