3A62 Introduction to Chinese Brush Painting (Held at Ancaster Memorial AC)
-Adult- | This program has been canceled
Add this unique art form to your artistic practice. Traditional Chinese brush painting or guohua (gwor-hwaa) is done using a brush dipped in black ink or colored pigments and then applied, usually, to paper or silk. You’ll begin your introduction by exploring the unique supplies and equipment used. Then, we’ll move on to learning the basic strokes and brush handling techniques as we work on absorbent rice paper with Chinese ink to create simple compositions. You’ll come away with an appreciation and understanding of this distinctive art form and be inspired to find ways to incorporate it in your ongoing work.
Members: $211.09 + HST, Non-Members: $215 + HST (Prices include facility rental fee and $35 material fee). Wednesday.
