Paint the Canadian landscape in oil or acrylic as you work from photo references. You’ll learn how to interpret landscape through the principles of design and then explore and practice the techniques needed to reconstruct it in paint. Plenty of group and individual instruction is provided throughout. Class time will be devoted to instruction, discussion and critiques. You’ll be working on your paintings outside of the scheduled class time and then send photos of your artwork to the instructor for in-class feedback. Be prepared to spend at least two hours each week painting outside of class. Links to demo videos will also be provided as optional learning outside of class. Previous painting experience is required.
