Drawing inspiration from our memories of 2024, in this studio the focus is on creating paintings and keepsake pennants to commemorate the past year and ring in a new one with everything the young artists are looking forward to in 2025. We'll fashion imaginative pieces using a mash-up of our favourite materials and techniques, while also exploring new approaches with various wet and dry media including paint, pastels and collage materials.

Heather Smith
As graduate of McMaster University’s Studio Art Program, Heather brings an abundance of knowledge and creativity to the DVSA studios. Her classes are informative, stuctured and a blast to be in. A favourite with young artists, Heather fosters students to push their boundaries and explore their artistic abilities in an inclusive, comfortable and creative environment.
