The Orton Effect is a post-processing technique used to add a beautiful, romantic and/or mysterious look to your photography. This creative process was first used for landscape images, but now it’s used for a variety of genres such as abstract, urban, portraiture photography. In this one-day workshop, we’ll define the Orton effect, discuss its history and study examples to learn more about what works and what doesn’t. Then we’re off for a photo walk around the town to capture some interesting images followed up with a lesson on how to use Photoshop to create that Orton dreamlike glow. You’ll come away with beautiful new artistic photographs to add to your portfolio. Participants should have some basic photography knowledge. Bring your camera – DSLR/Mirrorless or Point and Shoot.
