In this 2-day workshop, you’ll carve and paint a small Hoot Owl in basswood. John will provide a full demonstration on how to carve an owl, pointing out the proper tool use and technique. Then it’s on to creating your own carving with plenty of individual instruction and guidance as required. The finished work will be painted using thin watercolours to preserve the look of the wood. Two wood blocks, black and white and coloured patterns plus paint and finishing supplies will be provided. You’ll need to have a carving knife and simple wood gouges. See the class material list for examples of the needed tools and options for purchase.

Members: $174.62 + HST, Non-Members: $179 + HST (Prices include $25 material fee). Sunday.
