4A62 *NEW* Interpreting the Value of Colour – Graphite Technique Development
-Adult- | This program is completed
Move forward from value sketching to learning the refined graphite techniques that produce a smooth continuous tone required for realistic plant studies. The first in a series of graphite technique workshops delving into the value of colour as interpreted in a monochromatic medium, this session will help you establish a foundation for future botanical work in a colour medium. A plant subject will be provided with a focus on the pale and delicate colours found on plant specimens. This two-day workshop is designed for continuing botanical artists and/or newcomers with some drawing experience – not for absolute beginners. Participants are encouraged to take Heather‘s winter drawing sessions, particularly the tulip drawing class, to benefit fully from this workshop. Materials list provided after registration.
Members: $174.62 + HST, Non-Members: $179 + HST (Prices include $25 material fee and eBooklet). Thursday & Friday.
