Discover the expressive and experiential nature of abstract painting, learning to trust your own creative instincts while pushing the limits of your materials. You’ll experiment with innovative ways of creating art as you develop your own personal style. We’ll cover guidelines for colour use, concept, composition and design and test out new techniques of brushwork and applying acrylic paint. Ideal for all levels.

Blakney, Linda

An artist and practicing psychotherapist, Linda is fascinated with using colour to communicate and influence perceptions. Her acclaimed abstract work has been featured in numerous exhibitions provincially and she is a fixture of the DVSA Live Art Auction. Favouring experimentation and pushing out to the creative edges, she has a vast database of knowledge in the use of unconventional art materials and techniques – tap into this and you’ll find yourself creating stunningly inventive works.
