Ages 10+ 1C41-E Teen Drawing, Painting & Sculpture Week 7 (Ancaster Memorial Centre)
Summer Camp | This program is completed
Expand and challenge your understanding of what art can be! This week in the studio is all about exploring and experimenting with different artistic mediums, materials, concepts and dimensions. Working between 2-D and 3-D, you’ll create artworks in drawing, painting, collage, printmaking and sculpture. We’ll develop technical skills in realistic drawing activities, learn about colour theory, try innovative techniques for painting and explore practical mechanics and processes in the building of sculptures and 3-D forms. Most importantly, you’ll expand your material “vocabulary” as we work with charcoal, pastels, paints, wire, wood, clay, plastic and fabric while looking at different historical art styles and movements for inspiration. It’s an intense and very fun week, sure to pop your creative thinking out of the box!
