Let’s experiment in the studio! Making abstract art offers new opportunities to express yourself as we plunge into expressive colour mixing, brushwork and design. We’ll review different abstract works produced throughout history, study the abstract “rules” and learn more about modern artists, their mediums and motivation. And of course, we’ll make our own art, including painting with acrylic on canvas using a variety of tools, working with paper and cardboard, exploring watercolour techniques, trying out printmaking methods and creating sculpture using found objects. There’ll be lots of demos and free time to explore each medium to see what you can create.

Members: $161.04 + HST, Non-Members: $165 + HST
