Project Management for Local Agencies - PART I

Workshop | Available

WHAT THIS IS ABOUT

This 2-Part workshop provides local agency staff with practical tools and strategies for successfully managing transportation, infrastructure, and community projects from start to finish. Participants will learn the fundamentals of project management, including setting clear objectives, developing realistic timelines, allocating resources, and coordinating with stakeholders. The session will also cover common challenges faced by local agencies such as budget constraints, regulatory requirements, and communication across multiple departments (and offer practical approaches) to address them. Through real-world examples, group discussion, and interactive exercises, participants will gain a stronger understanding of how to keep projects on track, minimize risks, and deliver results that meet community needs.
