Traffic Signal Controller Programming
TSA Workshop | Available
Participants will experiment with controller parameters on a realistic simulation environment and will be presented with information on how to navigate traffic signal controller menus, including programming instructions and interactive examples on timing parameters, detection, coordination and advanced functions.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Due to schedule commitments from our instructors, the registration fee is not refundable if a registrant withdraws less than 48 hours before the workshop. If you cannot attend, you may designate a substitute participant for the workshop at no additional cost (please notify us in advance if possible). TTAP may reject registrations from participants who do not select the correct fee option. If you are unsure which option you should select, please contact us at

Airton Kohls
Dr. Kohls is a Research Associate at the University of Tennessee's Center for Transportation Research. He holds a B.S., M.S. and a Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Tennessee. He has twelve years of practical experience in Traffic Engineering with both public and private agencies. Current roles include: Traffic Engineering and Research; the principal instructor for the Traffic Signal Academy (http://trafficsignalacademy.utk.edu/); and serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor with the University of Tennessee, Department of Civil Engineering, teaching Traffic Engineering Operations.
