Unleash Your Creativity in Art Lab: Printmaking & Collage!
Get ready to roll up your sleeves and dive into a world of texture, color, and creative expression! In this hands-on Art Lab, students will explore the exciting realms of printmaking and collage through a dynamic blend of traditional and experimental techniques. Each week brings a fresh material or method to discover — from bold Styrofoam and linoleum prints to mesmerizing gel block impressions and layered photomontages.
Students will experiment with an array of professional tools and vibrant materials, including acrylic paints, watercolors, oil pastels, papers, fabrics, and more. Learn to safely handle real artist tools like brayers, x-acto knives, chisels, and cutting mats as you bring your ideas to life.
Along the way, you’ll discover the art of decoupage, assemblage, papier collé, and other inspiring techniques that open up endless possibilities for personal expression. As the semester wraps up, students will channel all they've learned into creating a one-of-a-kind mixed media masterpiece—showcased proudly in our student art exhibition for family, friends, and community to enjoy!
