Sounds of the Silver Screen
Community Class | Available
Have you ever wanted to create a soundtrack for your own movie? The NaAC is excited to host the 3rd run of our SOUNDS OF THE SILVER SCREEN community class for artists interested in sound and video. This class runs for 22 weeks, during which participants will explore audiovisual creation, including shooting a Super 8 film, composing a score, and creating sound effects. This class will provide artists with the resources to let their imaginations run wild, and mentorship from two professional music & film artists. Whether you’re interested in making music videos, directing movies, or composing soundtracks, this course will surely inspire amazing creations and expand your storytelling skills. By the end of the course, participants will have created an immersive world of cinema and sound! Once your film is finished, you’ll have the chance to premiere it at Artifact Film Festival in April 2026.
This class runs during both Fall 2025 and Winter 2026.
This class is open for anyone over 18 years old, whether they identify as a member of a disability community or not, however the class prioritizes accessibility for all skill levels.
