My Art, My Score

Community Class | Available

In this innovative interdisciplinary program, artists will create music that reflects their own visual artwork. Using iPads and accessible tools like GarageBand, participants will compose a short instrumental piece inspired by a painting, drawing, sculpture, or mixed media piece they’ve created or have seen at the NaAC.

They’ll then write and record a personal voice note — describing the story, feeling, or process behind their art — layered over their custom-made soundtrack. The final product is a powerful audio-visual experience that combines music, storytelling, and visual expression.

No prior experience in music or audio is required. NaAC Soundtrack My Art is open to artists 16+ of all abilities.

You’ll enjoy this program if you want to explore how your art sounds, tell your story in a new way, or learn how music and emotion connect.
