Skill Share: Hem and Hang
Special Event | Available
Pants too long? Want to learn a new sewing skill? Grab a garment in need of hemming, something like a skirt, dress, or pants, and learn the basics of creating a clean, professional hem. This relaxed and social sewing session offers plenty of time for conversation, stitching, and skill sharing while you work. Whether you're new to sewing or have experience, you'll enjoy a welcoming environment where participants learn from both the instructor and one another.
What You Will Learn:
- How to measure and mark a hem
- Basic pinning and hemming techniques
- How to use a sewing machine for simple garment alterations
- Tips for achieving a clean, professional finish
- Please bring 1 item for hemming. Fleisher will supply most supplies, but if your garment needs a specific thread color for hemming, please bring thread with you.
