Jewelry Open Studio
Adult Open Studio | Available
Jewelry Open Studio provides access to self-directed students interested in jewelry and metalsmithing in a shared space. Jewelry studios include workbenches, shared tools, soldering station, polishing station, 4 flex shafts, and a drill press. Participants must have technical proficiency, be capable of working independently, and agree to adhere to the rules of the studio. Note, that this is a monitored studio and not an instructed class.
Open Studio Hours are subject to change depending on studio availability. Hours are:
Tuesday and Thursday: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM
Friday: 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM
First-time open studio users must participate in an orientation. To schedule an orientation, contact Scott Cooper, Studio Technician at scooper@fleisher.org.
Note that this classroom is accessible by stairs only; please contact Fleisher for more information.
- Please note:
Studio fees help cover the ongoing cost of studio resources, including tools, equipment maintenance, gas, soldering materials, abrasives, and other supplies available for student use.
All metals are at your own expense. You are able to use copper, brass, or sterling silver in this class. Students should choose a metal that works best for their personal budgets (copper and brass tends to be more budget friendly). The use of gold should be discussed with your instructor prior to purchase. No nickel or steel is permitted in the Fleisher jewelry studio.
