Stained Glass: Surface Decorations (1 Day)
Adult Workshop | FULL
This one-day workshop is focused on surface decoration in stained glass. Participants will explore a variety of techniques for adding color, texture, and imagery to glass, experimenting with how these decorative elements can be incorporated into their own stained glass pieces. All levels are welcome, though those with prior stained glass experience will be best suited for the class. Students will not leave the workshop with a finished stained glass piece, the focus of the workshop is experimentation with glass decorating techniques.
All supplies are included. During the workshop, each student will work on a piece of clear glass approximately 4 × 4 inches.
If you have drawings, sketches, or printed images that you would like to trace or use as inspiration, please bring them with you.
If you would like to experiment on a specific piece of glass instead of the provided sample, please email adulteducation@fleisher.org before the workshop. We may be able to accommodate these requests, depending on the compatibility of your glass with the workshop materials and firing process.
Finished pieces will need to be kiln fired after the workshop. They will be available for pickup at Fleisher beginning January 4, 2027, during the Winter 2027 term. We will notify you when your work is ready.
