Students will learn the art of lead came stained glass. This class is designed specifically for beginners who want to learn the fundamentals in a supportive, step-by-step environment. Students will work on a window panel inspired by the geometric patterns of Frank Lloyd Wright's stained glass designs. This course is ideal for those new to stained glass or seeking a strong technical foundation.

Instruction will cover essential glass cutting, fitting, and lead came soldering techniques, with plenty of hands-on practice and individual support. Foundational glass concepts and historical context will be introduced throughout the course. No prior experience is required.

  • Required tools and materials:
    Fleisher's adult students are expected to purchase their own materials. For this course, most supplies & glass will be provided as part of the studio & glass fee. Your instructor will discuss materials with you on the first day of class and advise you about what you need. Some materials used in the process are listed below for reference, but it is not necessary to purchase anything in advance of your first-class session.
