Collagraph Experiments (2 day)
Adult Summer Workshop | Registration opens Monday, May 4, 2026 8:00 AM EDT
In this two-session workshop, students will explore and experiment with a variety of materials like masking tape, glue, rubber bands, and chip board to make uniquely textured collograph prints. Explore the many different effects possible with common materials. Students should feel free to bring their own materials to add to their collage-based plate, though you do not need to have a plan for your prints, as it is possible to experiment with the provided materials.
What You Will Learn:
- The basics of collograph printmaking
- Various methods for creating collage-based collograph plates
- How to create prints without a press
- All supplies will be provided. After experimenting with provided materials in the first session, students will be encouraged to bring additional texture materials for creating their collagraph boards and/or special surfaces to print on, like greeting cards or specialized paper.
