Stained Glass Immersive

Program Description

This stained glass class will be for beginning and advanced students. Learner's will be encouraged to bring ideas for small two and three dimensional projects and pre-made designs can also be provided. Examples include mirror frames, votive candle holders, jewelry, and sculptural objects all of which can include ceramic and metal items other that could be included in the project. Glass cutting and assembly techniques will be demonstrated and practiced resulting in a finished project. Glass concepts and historical information will be discussed throughout. All levels welcome! Instructor

Kevin Huang

Kevin B. Huang is a Philadelphia-based artist and educator whose multidisciplinary practice centers on material exploration and process. Working primarily with found and industrial materials, his work investigates structure, perception, and transformation. Huang has exhibited nationally and internationally, received support from organizations including the Fleisher Art Memorial and Brooklyn Arts Council, and teaches stained glass at Fleisher. He maintains a studio at NextFab in Philadelphia.
