Papercut collage is the art of cutting or tearing paper into a variety of shapes and sizes, then pasting and assembling them to create an image.

In this workshop, students will reinterpret a photograph or image using papercut collage techniques. We will also explore how to enhance each collage with beautiful decorative and specialty papers, adding texture, color, and visual interest to the final composition. Please bring a photo you would like to transform and/or magazine pictures to class. Together, we will select images that are well suited for this process and explore how to translate them into expressive collaged works.
