Exercises in Drawing (Tuesday PM)

Adult Class | Available

Loosen your inhibitions and draw with greater confidence in this dynamic drawing class that encourages curiosity and experimentation. Through a mix of traditional and experimental exercises, this class will develop students' observational skills while expanding their range of drawing approaches. Together we will work from life and photographs, to explore both accurate and expressive drawing methods. Each class opens with a relaxed group discussion centered on a specific topic, supported by artist examples and live demonstrations. Students then work independently while receiving plenty of one-on-one guidance from the instructor. Exercises range from energetic gestural studies and expressive line drawings to painterly charcoal still lifes and subtly shaded pencil drawings. Both beginners and experienced drawers are welcome!
