Drawing Animals (tuition-free, three sessions)
Adult Tuition-Free Class | FULL (Membership Required)
Explore and draw animals in this three-session workshop with Artist Meg Lemieur. From bones and body structures to skin, fur, feathers and scales, students will gain new skills to expand their drawing practices. This workshop emphasizes the understanding and illustration of animals by breaking down the basics of anatomy. At first, students will learn to draw skeletal structures to learn how various animal bodies work, move and come alive. We will then learn the basic principles of how muscles fit onto skeletons
The class will meet at Fleisher Art Memorial for two sessions and then take their skills offsite! The third and final session of this class will meet at the Academy of Natural Sciences where students will have the chance to draw from the many animals on display in the dioramas.
