Color is expressive. We see it, but we also feel it. In this 5-week course explore how color works and how to use it in mosaics to create specific impacts. Learn the qualities of color (hue, value, saturation) and how they interact and affect each other. Understand how our eyes perceive and mix color and how to use grayscale to see color more clearly. Discuss the emotional impacts of color and use a variety of color combinations to create a range of sensations. Discover the special way color works in mosaics due to the unique relationship between interstizi (spaces, grout lines) and tesserae (tiles, shards, pieces). Color is fun!
